A Day Zero Project goal of P.J.’s has been completed!
Goal completed: Buy something from Etsy
Date completed: November 19, 2014
Description: Buying something off the website Etsy, which is full of amazing crafts/digital items etc.
Why I wanted to do it: I’m a believer in supporting people’s creative side. I love buying things from street artists, and I like backing people who aren’t corporate conglomerates. Now that’s I’ve purchased a few things, I’ll probably do it more often. There’s a lot of great stuff on there.
How I did it: I needed clipart with a transparent background and there is a lot of great clipart on the site. I found many different things on there (I was looking for Thanksgiving art for the item I made to post here on Thanksgiving day). I found what I wanted at one store and then found other great things I’ll b using in the future. The first store I used was With Envy Studios, for some awesome holiday clipart. The top image is from that studio, with me editing the letters.
It’s well worth digging around Etsy if you need some creative items.
About P.J.’s Day Zero Project: Day Zero is a project where people come up with 101 things to do over 1001 days. I started the project on August 1, 2014 with an anticipated finish date of April 28, 2017. Goals will not be revealed until they are completed. A private list is at the Day Zero website and the list will be made public upon completion of the project. It’s my thoughts that if things are kept private, should I not do them, change or find a way around it, I’d only be cheating myself.
