Another blast from the past!

There’s actually snow on the ground today. It’s something we haven’t seen much of around here this year. Not a lot mind you, but it’s covering the ground.

Until then, I had heard of people playing golf around here recently. Sheesh! In February!

With that in mind, this one goes back a few years to our local County Golf Championship.

The back of this photo says this is from a Christmas parade many years ago (you can see some snow in the photo). Looks like the old man was the leader of the parade.

But this is an old-school cop car. Look at those lights and everything. Siren in the middle, too. Love seeing photos like this. Sweet ride!

As much as I was going to do Christmas shots all this month, I’m switching up today because it’s my mother’s birthday and it would be much more fun to post an old photo of her.

Not sure which one of us rag-scamps this is with my folks, but I’m quite sure it isn’t me!

Another blast from the past!

‘Tis the season of giving, isn’t it?

And with this Snapshot Saturday, we start a month of holiday joy and Christmas fun! Each shot this month will have that theme as I did through the archives looking for beauties. I’m going to really try and have some wild shots. We’ll see what I can come up with!

This week, we start with this one. It’s dated 1969 — so I wasn’t even a twinkle in my father’s eye yet! But my brothers were already yucking it up with Santa! (Note: Years later, I pulled some strings at the North Pole and got Santa to call my brothers one year. A fine call that was. I have it recorded somewhere, too…)

Ahhh, back in the days.

This is my niece (now 14) and she is seemingly knocking over a box of tissues as my father watched on. Loved shots like this.

It really is a shame he’s not with us anymore as he loved kids and I think he would have enjoyed the new additions to the family (my brother’s step kids and my other brother’s girlfriend’s kids).
