OK, with January 1 quickly coming upon us, I wanted to bring up Project 365 again.
The idea of this project is basically taking photographs over the course of 365 days to document your life. You post one image per day (well, take at least one per day. Some post them on a weekly basis, some every day etc.)
My plan is to start Jan. 1.
I’m going to see what I can do about taking a photo every day, using whatever camera I have on me — my point-and-shoot, my normal camera or my camera phone. The idea is to show my life in photos throughout the year. It might be food. It might be work. It might be geocaching, sports or something. I might or might not be in the shot. Either way, I’m going to take the photo and have a go at this project.
At first, I figure it will be tough as I need to get used to taking a photo per day. In the end, I think it will be pretty fun to look back after 365 days to see all of the images. With a couple of traveling plans this year as well as some other things I am working on, there could be some photos to take photos of — and share.
For those interested in joining a group on Flickr to share with a smaller blogging community as well, I have a private one set up here. Just contact me to get an invite and such.
Mixed in with this project, I’m also going to attempt to do every 12 of 12 this year.
For those who don’t know, the 12 of 12 is also a photo project that is done monthly — on the 12th day of the month. The idea is to take 12 photos to show your day. Many people come up with a subject for the day, some just have 12 random shots. I’ve done a few of these and they are fun, so hopefully I can start remembering to do it each month!
I hope some of you who are photographers will think about getting involved in some of these as well. I am looking forward to the challenge of doing this one.
More later!
